18th June 2015
Following last weeks’ newsletter, may I remind you that due to recent legislation our school’s governing body is to reconstitute/reform for the start of the next school year in September. This involves the election and appointment of four parent governors (to serve ideally for 4 years). The three existing parent governors will be standing down, although some might choose to put themselves forward for the new governing body. Any parent/carer of a Paganel pupil is eligble to stand as parent governor.
Please take time to read the forms, available to download below, which provides some more detailed information about the role of the governing body and what is expected of parent governors, the election process, as well as some FAQs.
Anyone who is possibly considering this role and would like some more information then please catch me in the playground at the start of the day or pop into school to arrange a time to see me. If you would like to stand for election as a parent governor, please pick up a nomination form from the school office and return it by no later than Tuesday 30 June. The election will then take place between 6 July and 13 July, with the new governors joining the governing body from September 2015.
